Does anyone know how the term FOO came into use?

Most of the time it is used in conjunction with 'bar', and FUBAR means F***ed Up Beyond All Repair.

Just something on this topic:

In Russian, "foo!" means the same as "yuck!" in English... :p


BTW, this is my first post since "11-29-2002 12:41 PM". Crazy, I haven't been here in so long :eek:
