What the hell is wrong with FYB? I mean he's gone from a responsible fun loving guy willing to answer graphics related questions to a road raging flame war starting mod insulting rebel bad boy. I think we need to discuss this subject in GREAT detail, provided we observe the political and social repercussions and possible reforms that can be derived from the situation, but only after expounding upon the real current situation at great lengths.

EDIT: and this needs to be a sensitive discussion that involves feelings, so if you have muscles please leave now.

his mother never loved him when he was a child.

Maybe he has discovered beer?

Just get it all out, fyb. Let the tears flow.

for the record....

There is no rage. We have a stupid rule here about one line posts. I saw a need to bring light to that. I have no problem with mods. There was a particular mod who enforced that stupid rule in a stupid way. That's all.

I wasn't trolling. Trolling is not toward a goal. I had more reason for my threads about this than most of the threads that get started around here.

I'm here to answer questions again after my short journey through activism.

No, seriously, did Salem touch you in a way that made you feel sad?

sometimes that happens after beer.

Keep it PG-13.

FYB has already demonstated political theatre. Perhaps now he'd like to lay the question before the rest of us in the form of a poll. If an overwhelming majority of members agree that the rule against one-liners should be abolished, then maybe it should be. I know I've already been told that this board is not a democracy, but I'm still a big believer in democracy.

Mod edit: Inappropriate words have been rendered pink.

I agree with FYB. One liners should be allowed. I understand where the mods are coming from. People may try to increase their post count with one liners, but after a while, personally, post count becomes irrelevant. (Wouldnt they just get bored from continually posting nonsense?)

I think the discussion over one line posts creates more controversy and flaming.

Let one liners go for a while, and if the mods see an increase in one line posts, then enforce the rules again.

I've got no problem with one-line posts, except when they're totally pointless. Most things posted at least have a point, even if it is stupid.

09-04-2003, 01:02 PM
1. how about the two line pointless variety?
2. Now those are awesome!!

09-04-2003, 01:03 PM
Two line posts have twice as many lines, so they're twice as good!

09-04-2003, 01:54 PM
Comming from you, they're twice as pointless :p

I think we should riot and tip something over

Are you judging lines by the number of carriage returns? I mean I could say "fart" on four lines

and therefore it isn't a one liner, but if I just say

then I'm a complete crap. Well most people think I'm crap anyway, except govtcheez because he wishes he could be as cool as me.

EDIT: this is getting away from the point of this thread, FYB was the only responsible person on these boards, now he's starting to become a rebel dooty head.

09-04-2003, 07:43 PM
I just don't see it.

silvercord, let it go.

I didn't realize I was holding onto anything but as soon as I do I will probably do absolutely nothing about it.

EDIT: dooty head is a really funny insult, I mean say it to someone "You are a dooty head", I always laugh a lot, then I kick them in the face.
