There, I've merged the threads and you can debate your lack of life with co-sufferers.

Dictionary.com
The property or quality that distinguishes living organisms from dead organisms and inanimate matter

According to the definition of life, you already have a life. So why are you wishing for something you already have?

>>> So why are you wishing for something you already have?

I have some money, but I often find myself wishing I had more.

It's 4:10 am, and I've been having an emotionally charged AIM conversation with my friend for hours. While waiting for her to say something (it's been a few minutes now), I decided to spend the time a cprogramming.com. Someone, please, shoot me. I'm a loser. I shouldn't be on this website, at this time, when having that conversation.

You guys suck. There are like three new posts since the last time I was here hours ago, and nobody is posting new stuff to keep me entertained. I don't care that it's 4:20 (lol)... you're all programmers, you should still be up... wrapping up your work for the night and getting ready to either go home or go to bed.

Yeah, having a life is a good thing. It's summer vacation right now, and in the fall I'll be going to college away from all but one of my friends. So I don't care much about having a life until college. Right now I just want to relax.

Ah, yes, I remember that series of threads. Good luck, I'm suprised it ended the way it did. The closest thing I have to a girlfriend is a girl who says she'll see me sometime this summer.

So, it's official: I have no life, either.

Give me your cell phone number (you can send it to me through a private message if you're afraid to post it here), and I will enrich your life by sending you an SMS.

Oooh! (USA country code) (231) 883-1753. Lol, I wonder if I'll ever get a message or a call. You can send one from http://www.npiwireless.com/mobilemessaging or something like that

What is the USA country code? 1?

Zewu

Yes, I believe so, at least that's the code I used to reach blackrat364 with (don't know if he/she has received my SMS though).

Heh, would be soooooo USA to have the number "1" as their nation code.

...us being the first nation with a national phone system.

Haven't gotten it yet Zewu. Dialing to a different country might involve a few more numbers... check the phone book.

Zewu

Well, I checked the phone book before I sent the SMS, and all I have to do is to begin by dialing a prefix for outside-nation calls (00), and then the code of the requested nation. It has worked to Germany and Bangladesh, so I don't see why it shouldn't to the US.

This is what I dialed: 0012318831753

perhaps I shouldn't add that "231", US state code?

I'll try the same number once again, and then one time exluding the "231"

Hmmm... here you have to dial a 1 before the area code (231). Maybe it would be

001 1 231 883 1753

You'll definitely need the 231 in there though. The US is a big country - seven digit phone numbers don't cut it :)

SMS stands for "short message service" It's just a little text message on your phone.

Hehehehe.......ok, tried the "001 1 231 883 1753" variant now. This thread really does prove that we don't have lives.....

I tried google, but there were no replacement lifes for download. So I searched the next best source and here it is: your new life (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3136831265&category=235).

( And yes, US Country code is 001, what else would you expect ? )

sean

I don't know, probably. I just heard about it through word-of-mouth though, so it could even be just an urban legend.
