I am now confused.. whcih one is better ASP.NET or PHP which one do you think wil dominate the future dynamic internet..

It's a matter of opinion really. They're both pretty gay. So I'd say, PHP.

I haven't really used any of the two languages that much, but the people I know generally prefer PHP over ASP.

Personally I wouldn't want to bother with a programmig language that requires you to type '$' in front of every variable name. :)

With my uneducated eyes, PHP seems to be the better of the two, though.

Am I correct in thinking ASP is proprietry, while PHP is open? If so, I know which I would choose.
