What's it about? Anyone have any experience with it?

I took that class in college and I hated it. It's basically a proofs class. I got all A's in my Calculus/Multivariable Calculus classes in college but I think I scraped by with a D in this class. I just did not understand what the hell was going on. Avoid it if you can unless you LOVE doing proofs. Maybe you would have better luck, but I still sometimes have nightmares about that class. I remember a few buzz words: abelian, rings, groups and some such nonsense but that is all.

lol, same here, I just took that class this semester. All A's in my math classes up until then (Calc 1-3 & Linear Alg), but did not do so good in that class. Luckily I realized I was falling behind and withdrew before it was too late. Do not take that class unless your a genius, or a masochist :p

Although I may end up retaking that class, I hate giving up on things and feeling like I wasnt smart enough to do something :/

Groups of sets, or was it sets of groups, cups and caps, and all rolled together into a matrix.

Same Story for me years ago- only D on my record! This is like the weed out class for math majors.
