View Full Version : Hotmail sucks !!!

04-03-2003, 08:11 AM
two pop-ups ... and in addition to the password, I have to type my entire email address too !

04-03-2003, 08:14 AM
::clicks on hotmail link::

1 popup, and I didn't type in anything.

What's the big damn deal? Your reason for hating hotmail is a couple popups and the fact that other people can't jsut click through to your e-mail address?

As with just about everything in life.....if you don't like it, don't use it.

04-03-2003, 11:26 AM

I don't get any popup since I'm using a popup stopper *hint*.

Also, there is an option to store the name/password when you log in (uses cookies). This is not recommende if you are on a public computer though.

i've pretty much stopped using it cuz of spam.

Hotmail reeks of hot ass; it stinks. Get a real pop server.

04-03-2003, 02:52 PM
apparently, the popups come after you login ... the idea of typing the '@hotmail.com' after the login id is so
the old hotmail sign-in was better

What would you suggest that is free?

I use yahoo for email and its free. Never used hotmail sounds like it sucks:rolleyes:

04-03-2003, 04:26 PM

Umm, you know that you can just hit tab to go to the password box and it will automatically put the @hotmail.com on the end for you.

Hurrrrr, hay guyz, let's complain about a 100% free service! HURRRRR!!!

It has taken people this long to realize HOTMAIL fricken SUCKS!

As someone pointed out, its a spam box. First thing you do is make an exclusive list, so that everyone who is on that list will go the junk box. :D

04-03-2003, 06:47 PM
I get maybe 2 spams a day in my hotmail box. Maybe you guys shouldn't sign up for so many porn sites.

04-03-2003, 07:17 PM
I also get alot of spam on Hotmail, and I told them not to list me in the member directory while signing up. It's stupid, I only use it for MSN, and I set my inbox to Exclusive, so that only people on a SafeList can get through; however, recently a bunch of junk did get into my inbox and I don't even have the address's on my SafeList!

I used them about 3-4 years ago, but they began getting very slow and unreliable. I liked their assortment of address's that were available. Perhaps they have changed, I'll give them another shot.

Hmmmz, I've used hotmail for probably about the last 6 years or so. In those 6 years I've obviously used my e-mail address alot.

I get maybe 15 spam mails a day. About half of those are because my friends decided they wanted to be funny and used my e-mail address to sign me up for porn mail (yes, it was them, I know for sure).

I use yahoo for spam filtering and have had an account there for about a year. I use that for whenever I need to use an e-mail address, but don't know for sure whether they'll send spam or not. I get about 30-40 spam mails a day there....

are they anyway to crack my fren hotmail address passwords? just want to know only....................... thanks, dude

04-04-2003, 10:11 AM
Yes there is - I've had to hack in because my Mom forgot her password and didn't know the answer to her Secret Question. If you can prove to me that you're doing this for some good reason, or the victim will be anti-Bush, I'll pm you.

Just joking. Yes there is a way. No I'm not going to tell you. You could probably figure it out if you really tried.

We switched from AOL to MSN as our ISP a few months ago, and all we got a lot of spam (250+ a day). Kind of ironic since there biggest selling point is, "less SPAM than AOL!". In the 4 years we've been using it, AOL has given us over a year free to thank us for switching back from MSN, sent us 3 spam emails, all of which we actually found useful, and they even sent me 35 of the junk CDs that I collect. We've called MSN, and I'm not exaggerating, at least 20 times to tell them we don't want them anymore, and they continue to charge us after 6 months.

Nobody here is going to tell you how to hack into anything, especially someone else's e-mail account. This site has a zero tolerance policy on that sort of thing.

04-04-2003, 12:43 PM
wow, 2 MB space

and the SSL server doesn't work.....

cool .... and it's all free ....... microsoft $=? :x

I would rather use a email server running on a 100 mhz linux box, than using the hotmail service!!!

04-04-2003, 01:23 PM

I'm sorry, I've taken email for granted I guess.

04-04-2003, 01:25 PM
u dont have to "hack" hotmail to get into it. Were not going into this any more then what i say next because "hacking" is illegal and is therefore not a valid discussion of how to on these forums.

Social Engineering.

04-04-2003, 04:13 PM
haha, I came up with a great way to get people's passwords with social engineering...the only thing is, I'm WAY too lazy to even bother. In addition...why would I want someone else's hotmail account?

04-04-2003, 05:59 PM
I get about 100-150 spam messages a day on my hotmail acount, been using it for awhile.

04-04-2003, 06:32 PM
i use hotmail for msn because many of my friends use msn. i don;t really like the services.. to much spam. yahoo is better

04-04-2003, 07:08 PM
