From Zero - Check Ya
Anything&Everything by incubus
Linkin Park - And One
Linkin Park - One Step Closer
Pretty much anything by Nirvana
Nelly Furtado - Turn Off The Lights
POD - Alive
Seven Channels - Breathe
Sum 41 - In Too Deep
Weezer - Buddy Holly //It's a pretty good song, give it a chance!
Smashing Pumpkins - Tonight
Nickelback - This is how you remind me
American HiFi - Another Perfect Day

That's all I can really think of off the top of my head that I like at the moment.

Feeder - Turn
The Gwenmars - Neon Tom
Muse - Showbiz (the version with african drums is even better)
The Get up kids - Don't hate me
Smashing Pumpkins - almost every song they ever wrote
Bob Dylan - worship him for he is a god.

could someone in america fill me in a bit: what genres ride high in your charts at the moment?

Nirvana - Sappy
Nirvana - Aneurysm
Nirvana - You Know You're Right. (You have to
download this, or buy a Bootleg CD. Never relased,
and probably never will be. Stupid Courtney Love)

Ken, you got great taste in music, with one exception, there are so many better songs on LinkinPark's cd than One Step Closer

Oh Darlen don't get me wrong - I have the whole CD and I love it, but I've since gotten tired of hearing a lot of those songs played repeatedly (and I think my speakers have, too) so I only mentioned 2 (one that's not even ON the CD...)

Oh, and add "Blink182 - damnit" onto there!

EvenFlow
10-18-2001, 11:39 PM
dammit is good, but blink's best song by far is wasting time (from chesire cat).

Good point ken, and static, Linkin Park is good music, listen to some of the stuff that doesnt get played on the radio, personaly i think crawling and one step closer happen to be the worst 2 songs on the CD. And even if you dont like the music the lyrics are really good by themselves.

hey cool penny, you're a guitarist too eh? what kind of music do you like?

Progressive rock rules in my book! Marillion, Dream Theater, Yes, Pink Floyd...

how long have you been playing? cool...

I played for a few years and then gave up to persue an ambition to be a classical musician. My taste has now reverted back to rock thankfully.

Funk and Jazz DA together? Cool! Interesting combination. Which Funk bands?

hey! i love progressive rock!

Emerson, Lake, and Palmer, Yes, Led Zeppelin all the way.

I actually grew up listening to ELP and i've loved them my entire life... they are spectacular musicians, and their lyrics are awesome. they've done everything from love songs to post-apocalyptic themed stuff... heh

Pendragon and doubleanti are both guitarists. Interesting. I'm a bassist. I have a Yamaha, doubleanti. I like my Yamaha. She's great. I love funk music. Slap bass rules. Funk rules.

I too play the guitar, although the guitar I have is pretty average.

Lots of musicians. Although they say that music is a mental thing. And we are all programmers. So, they connect easily I think. That's neat. We should all get together. Meet me on the Serengeti Plain. Okay?

Back to topic.

greatest two songs ever made.

Tubthumping -chumbawamba

White Refection - the ending to gudam wing endess waltz. Very good.

Lissen to them if you can. the songs are probly spelled wrong, as well as the artist.

Garfield

I've also been playing for a couple of years. I'm saving up for a string ray. You like them? The classic bass for funk players.

Does anybody want me to upload this song. It is over 7 minutes long, so the file is quite big. Also I don't seem to be able to login to geocites, so I will have to change the file extenstion to trick tripods server. I looked for the song online but the ones I found were the short 4 minute long verson. Witch softa sucks.

No Gamegod, the two best non-Nirvana songs are:

Bob Marley: Redemption Song

Beh, it's too hard to pick another song. I want
to pick a Cranberries song, but there are just
too many good ones... Dolores, her voice, it's
just so pretty. :)

EvenFlow

No Woman No Cry is also a classic Marley Song.
