Hi.

I am research on the best engineering developer software for designing and simulating circuits and computer architecture in general. I have no experience with any engineering developer software. I would like to know software that most professional computer engineers and electronic engineers use for the Windows platform.

Thanks,
Kuphryn

Well I am still at uni but we use Electronics Workbench or the latest version which is called Multi-sim.

Hope this helps

A nice tool is EDWin for designing and analysing circuits. For designing and analysing digital electronics I've used a tool from Xilinx, but forgot the name of it. One could use VHDL to describe the electronics and the tool configured a FPGA based on your code. When using VHDL creating digital electronics looks a lot like programming.

The FPGA programmer we had at my last place had a nice simulator - trouble is, I can't remember who made it. If I talk to any of my former colleagues, (happens from time to time), I'll ask.
