View Full Version : Absence of Visual Recall

I cannot remember images. I don't have a 'mind's eye' or at least it isn't switch on most of the time. For example, if:

I see a good looking girl leaving a pub/bar, and turn to my mate & say, 'She was fit.'
He says, 'Which one? What did she look like? Was she tall? What colour hair did she have?'
I say, 'Dunno. Can't remember.'

I'm serious. When ever I meet a new girl, I have to make a point of mentally noting what colour eyes she has. Not doing this has been disasterous on several past occasions.

Can't remember tunes very well either. For example, I can't play a tune in my head. I certainly can't sing.

Just wondering if anyone is like me in this respect? I am wondering whether programmers are more likely to be like this.

Nope not me. I would imagine most programmers would be good in math. And math and music ability often comes hand in hand because they lie on the left(?) side of the brain.
