Just curious to see what you all have used to create/edit your avatars. I prefer Photoshop 6.

ditto that.

What is your avatar of no-one?

Even though I am the most un-artistic guy I know I use Fireworks and recently Flash.....

Amen to that... Long live fireworks

I hired an outside contractor to first paint a prototype avatar (it was spelling wrong), sculpt one out of clay, and make a collage.

Then, I broke down and used Paint.

I (ahem) created my original spinning avatar using Fireworks 4.
The flag one I use now I ripped from a gif site. Some day, in a
fit of creative energy I will post another of my imaginative
visions for all to gaze upon with awe and inspiration.

avatar eventually... you all must bust out on your SVGA addresses foo's!!!

>Then, I broke down and used Paint.

wasn't it called "PaintBrush" in 3.1 for WG? hmmm... i know it's now called paint, but still...

Using all the artistic talent I could muster, I used google image
search, clicked the right mousebutton and selected "Save As..."

uhm... Natase, what does your avatar mean ? I could use the
same *g*

10-06-2001, 01:38 PM
Yeah, it was paintbrush in 3.1 if you go to c:\windows there's still a program called paintbrush which is exactly like paint...an exact clone...

10-06-2001, 01:49 PM
i cheated as didnt have enough time to create one so i used an example from photoshop6 (whoops copyright). All the normal stuff i make up are 60MB and i dont think they would let me have an avatar that size.

10-07-2001, 02:24 PM
my avatar is better

10-07-2001, 05:11 PM
I used Painter Classic... It came free with my
mouse-pen :)

One day, one day I'll have enough money for
a real Painter program. Painter 7. WooHoo!

10-07-2001, 05:24 PM
woah! you made that! that's actually amazing...

10-07-2001, 06:37 PM
mine was made by taking a picture of myself through the side of one of the faceted crystal bowls i have laying around my house, and then superimposing my symbol (which is now Ƥ) on top of it with a nice gradient...

Photshop 6 owns you.

Erm... it's actually the initials of my full alias from my BBSing days... I tend to just use the first name now

Knocked the avatar up in about 5 minutes... fireworks makes it so easy... In real life I'd be hard stretched to draw a stick figure.

well alrighty... good show of clever usage of [other] programmer's power. but i still hold that there are powers to be unsealed when you have the vid address yourself... seek and ye shall find!
