woohoo! I've been without broadband for over a year!

It's... so... *cries*

Now, I've got about 3gigs of SDKs, service packs, and updates to download!

*scampers off*

Wow, you still used phone line? Thats seems like that should be viewed in a museum. I knew once I switched, I would never be able to go back, even if the download speeds didnt increase would broadband, but the fact that pages can be viewed faster, I would sitll switch over.

Actually, the reason I was without broadband is quite a funny story :)

You see, until a few weeks ago, there was only one broadband provider in my city (suburb of Chicago actually), and that was AT&T through cable. However, I am still currently banned from their network because I "abused" their services beyond their tolerence level and was forced to revert to 56k :( (the only way I would be able to get service from AT&T again would be for me to move :))

Long story short, SBC Yahoo! to the rescue!! :D

Going back to dial up from DSL/Cable really sucks, every once and a while I have to because for some reason earthlink really sucks and their networks go down about once a month for hours to days on end, its a real pain in the ass since they will charge you money for using the dial up service past the 24 hours your given a month, and since their service may go out for a week your getting ripped off bad even if you call and complain to them, on a side note dont anyone ever get earthlink DSL, when I had first signed up a year ago it gave me a date for the service to be turned on and a shipping code for my free DSL modem, well first they didnt turn on my DSL line when it was supposed to be, second they lost my modem in the mail not once but twice! I had waited nearly two months to get the damn thing, then when I finally got the modem they still hadnt turned on the fuc***g DSL line so I had to call customer service and wait on hoold for hours just to have the person tell me that it would be on within the next 24 hours, well that didnt happen so I had to call again and again till finally I got in touch with the customer service manager and told him that i wanted all my money back since its now been 3 1/2 months and they havent activated my line, after that he took care of it that instant and had someone from the phone company come out and take care of it.
