Do you belive that there is something known as actual magc..Like astral pojection , ESP, telekineses, Remote veiwing etc .....

Do you have any proof or explanation that can show us that this exist ????

Yeah, if you do this -

stand toward the north.
Proclaim - "Isis um bakumbi";
turn to the east.
Proclaim - "Baal du somanki";
turn to the south.
Proclaim - "Ra so koj";
Finally turn west and
Proclaim - "Akum sur red umki";

Do this at dawn and dusk (for at least 40 days and nights) and you'll see the world as it really is.

No, this is a ritual for you to do, and only you. It'll give you special ESP powers. Just try it.

No, I don't believe in magic. TO ME magic is like religion; in which I won't further elaborate.:)

>>No, I don't believe in magic

Then I suggest you try the above ritual. It was designed for datainjector, but what the hell it'll probably work for the masses (I don't want to sound one like one of those catholic fruitcakes, mind you).

Believe me.

I'm not actually that big of a believer of magic, but i do beleive the fact that there is something "truly-magical" out there. i mean if there wasn't, why would so many ppl practise and believe in it? and the black magics of the older times, i know they were real.

>i mean if there wasn't, why would so many ppl practise and believe in it?<

This is perhaps the cleverest thing I've ever read. Now go to my ritual, I command thee.

Why did so many believe the earth is flat?

Basically by that one single question your whole argument is flawed. Humans of large masses are capable of making mistakes or having false believings.:)

"Do you belive that there is something known as actual magc..Like astral pojection , ESP, telekineses, Remote veiwing etc ....."

Hell no.

"but i do beleive the fact that there is something "truly-magical" out there. i mean if there wasn't, why would so many ppl practise and believe in it?"

..... in the past of course people believed in magic, anything that could not be explained was immediately labled magic. Today people who practise "real magic", are either frauds or simply deluding themselves.

"and the black magics of the older times, i know they were real."

No, they weren't, old women got burned at the steak because of people got sick and they didnt know why.

(incidently one of the larger witch burnings was recently explained: in some village people started going crazy, screaming that their skin was on fire, that there were monsters in the room etc. etc. of course it was deemed a "magical curse", and woman over the age of 50 was burnt at the stake......... turns out that their crop of rice had been contaminated by a yeast that produces a chemical very similar to LSD....)

The only magic that exists, is the stuff Copperfield does.

"It was designed for datainjector"

as others have said: magic is/has been an excuse for the unexplained

"You missed a few: deluding others, getting rich on the gullibility of others...."

That comes under frauds :) (Uri Geller being the most prominant example i can think of right now)

"Painful that, when your steak gets burned"

Hah, yea =)

"Would you happen to have more info on this "

I read the article in the paper a while ago, it may well have been rye rather than rice. The name rings a bell, so i think it is the same fungus.

"His observation that we tend to recall 'success' and ignore 'failure', miserably skews our appreciation of the 'facts' ie people want to believe. "

Yup, thats quite well documented, its why people are poor at judging coincidences: They forget all the non-coincidences that have happened.

Well okay we have occult courses .Have you heard about methaphysics ???These are the type of courses that deal with supernatural powers ..Okay when i say magic i mean MAGIC like Telephaty i dont mean angel , demon and that type of religion ****..I personally dont belive in relegion its all to fake to belive ... but when i say magic it simply means some thing that has no awnser at the movement...Like 1000Yrs ago a magnet would be a magic???
Okay there is a simple logic .We use a fraction of our brain for our daily work if we could use double or even triple i will be able to do some stuff that u cant ....You have people who specially go to India to do all those kind of stuff.....
Clyde ur explanation about the food that was contaminated with a yeah i have heard about it ...Its like saying a 15 yrs old uses Ping Of Death (computer expliot) on a system that has the hole and crashes it..That does not mean that all hackers are the same ???

Well, when I think of magic, I picture a magician at a birthday party, so I dont believe in that kind, since FOX kindly showed us how its all done.

I dont know about the other stuff, Id just rather not think about it.

magic is, by definition, fake. if it's not fake, it's not magic.

I like those "behind the magic shows" - some of those tricks are so stupid they're clever.

"Okay when i say magic i mean MAGIC like Telephaty i dont mean angel , demon and that type of religion ****"

Still fake.

"when i say magic it simply means some thing that has no awnser at the movement"

There is a difference, when people say "magic", they don't mean just that there is no CURRENT explanation, they mean there can NEVER be an explanation (I mean REAL explanation, not:- its an incarnation of mystic energies from the alpha -z- plane.... ). Thats why in this day and age we no longer refer to phenomena that lack explanations as magic, for quite a while it was not understood how the bubblebee managed to fly, we didn't pass it off as magic, we simply admitted we lacked an explanation (it is known now).

"Okay there is a simple logic "

Okay......

"We use a fraction of our brain for our daily work if we could use double or even triple i will be able to do some stuff that u cant "

Wrong, it is a modern myth that humans only use 10% or so of their brains, its simply false. Whilst the cerbral cortex and its associated functions (personality, concious stuff etc.) only take up a portion, that is not to say the rest sits there unused. Its all doing stuff; sensory processing, homeostasis, heart regulation, etc. etc.

"You have people who specially go to India to do all those kind of stuff"

Stuff? I can tell you, they don't do telepathy, they don't float in the air, through deep meditation it is thought people can gain influence over their autonomic nervious systems, as such it is possible for people to lower their heart rate considerabley and slow their rate of respiration, which whilse remarkeable is not paranormal or supernatural or "magical" in the slightest.

"Clyde ur explanation about the food that was contaminated with a yeah i have heard about it ...Its like saying a 15 yrs old uses Ping Of Death (computer expliot) on a system that has the hole and crashes it..That does not mean that all hackers are the same ???"

Well quite, but it offers an example of how people can come to believe in magics, without them really existing. Hence nullifieing the arguement that because X-number of people used to believe in it, it must be true!

Whenever a real investigation has been done into supposed paranormal/psychic/magic/etc. activity it always turns out to have normal physical explanations. James Randi's offer of i forget how much cash to ANYONE who can demonstrate ANY paranomal activity in the lab under the supervision of scientists and magicians remains unclaimed..... wonder why....

Magic is merely being smarter than everyone else. Example, your a magician, like the ones we all saw on fox, and your at a local mall or something. You have a big group around you and your performing some un-beleiveable trick.

Some guy with his gf steps out of the crowd and yells bout how your fake and u suck, so u reply "then lets see u do it" or "then how is it done?". He can't explain it, but u know the answer is logical and quite obvious, but your clever and they don't catch on.
