Figo announced he may quit to play for the portuguese team in international competitions. He's thinking about it. Nigerian Okocha said the same thing. Only he already decided it. They'll keep playing for their current teams though... Real Madrid and Aston Villa. Other players from other teams are leaving also...

Joao Pinto punched the referee. He may face up to 3 years of suspension. At the age of 31 that will mean the end of his carreer. Should he be worried? I don't think he is. His wife has 13, yes 13!! sports stores. He has 4 big houses spread over portugal and a couple abroad. Plus some lands. Plus some bars and some money invested in bonds or whatever....

I think soccer is reaching the top... pretty soon it will be all downhill. For those of you old enough to remember like me those times when money was in fact a problem most players faced like everyone else, you know what I mean. And you do remember how they played back then...

Professionals in any sport make a ridiculous amount of money, but sometimes dont realize the opportunity they are receiving. Many, Many people want to make it to the big leagues, but not many get the chance, they should respect achievements, and act like mature adults!
