hi...
I ve a problem installing visual studio.net , as setup runtime files in cd labled" windows component update" doesnt work., it hangs for long time with no response . anyone can help me? or tell me where to install this "runtime files " online??????

If I recall correctly that cd is part of Beta 2 of VS.Net. If that is the one you are trying to install and not the full release version, then you'd better install the .net framework first. You can get it by going to Windows Update on your browser.

Although I have doubts it will work... Having the latest .net framework and a beta version of the compiler... hmm

You need the Internet Information Services (IIS) component. You can install it off or your Win2k CD by going into add/remove programs - add windows components.

And you also need some other component for ADO.net that you can get on the microsoft website. Here is the link:

You want to download and install MDAC 2.7 RTM Refresh
