How many hours of sleep do you sleep every night?

I work the late night shift. I don't sleep. I nap.

Depends, weekend i can sleep up to 14 hours.

Weekdays its a matter of 'go to sleep at 5am after writing code and surfing all night'.

I managed 5 hrs last night, 6 the night before. I rarely get the recommended 8/9 hours.

I'm ok for it, but I always fall asleep on the train going home from work...without fail

You work in a chocolate factory, right? I can only
imagine how fun that must be. Rivers of chocolate,
dancing elves... Beautiful

You've been programming too long when you think that dawn is natures way of telling you to go to sleep.

Ha! I wish. No. We make Taster's Choice coffee and Nestea here.
Chocolate's made in upstate N.Y., I think.

We do have a company store, though. I get the large size Quik
for $1.50. It's the only Nestle product we buy for home
consumption.

Lets I stay up to ~1:29 AM and wack up at ~5:50 AM on weekdays, I sleep to ~6:50 if work does not start at 8:00. If it starts at at I wake up at ~5:50.

Now cary the one and I get:

5d + 2e = S

I usually go to bed around 12.30 read for a bit and crash by 1.00. Normally I wake up about 7am, 8am if I can. I don't need heaps of sleep, but what I do get is pretty solid - what's the point in going to bed around 9.30 and tossing and turning for hours on end? Quality not quantity.

Gamegod--you write like you're still asleep:) .

Never heard of Nestea, eh Fordy? Consider yourself lucky. But
I think that's mainly because the British like to drink real tea,
not instant.

Ugh. We use ammonia as part of the freeze dry process! We
used freon in pre-ozone layer times, but switched because
of new EPA rules. You have a dangerous job, stat. Ammonia's
a killer. Our hazmat program is state of the art. I hope yours is too. The company holds seminars and evacuation drills on a
regular basis. Why does your place smell like ammonia; you
make fertilizer, or something? lol; sounds too much like a real
job to me. :)

I usually go to bed around 3-4am and wakeup around 11am-12pm (~ 7hours). Hey, I hear it's best to sleep an even number of hours vs odd (something having to do with the cycle of sleeping stages); like i'm better off getting 6 hours of sleep than 7. Anyone else ever heard of such a thing?

You can't go past Dilmah's English Breakfast for a great cup of tea.

Memory...

One time, at McDonalds, I ordered a large drink.
The guy hands me an empty cup. I'm like "Hey dude,
you forgot to put liquid in this cup." Then he's
like "You're suppose to fill it up yourself."
I felt dumb.

Puh, I should've brought my own cup.

Ha I have a better McDonalds story

Me and 2 friends were sitting at mcdonalds, and we'd just gotten our food. Then my friend matt spits his out and yells "UGH!" as loud as he can, and goes "There's no meat in this thing!" and me n alex couldn't stop laughing. Then he comes back with a new burger and takes a bite, and spits it out, yelling "There's still no meat!" so he slams his tray down in front of the lady working the counter and yells "I wanted this PLAIN!! PLAIN as in
just MEAT and cheese!" and she says "Yes, plain. no meat." and he goes "No! MEAT AND CHEESE!!!" then finally she gets it right...

It was so hilarious
