I can see it now. In 2010 MS will release Windows 3D, the first 3D operating system ever...

Cant you see it?

It would be interesting, but it will definetely take some creativity to make a usable 3d interface.

Holo projector instead of a monitor?

VR gloves instead of mouse and KB?

Can you imagine the nasty Windows crashes? When your gloves lock up or the 3D display goes crazy making you motion sick.

You really thing tha tMicrosoft will be the first to have a 3D interface? I'm betting on Mac XX, followed a year later by MS.

I read an article about a year ago about a group of engineers that were making a 3D monitor/display... I'll have to try and find that... it was really interesting... they projected an actual product in maybe 2003/2004...

hm no i'm thynking [oh no not again] more along the lines of a 3d command line interface... having to think ctrl-c would be nice... and b800:0000 would have to be a lot larger wouldn't it? we'd have 640 MB of conventional memory... :)

I can't see that happening for a long time. Keep in mind that a lot of people thought we'd have flying cars by now. :)

I think a [fake, because it's really just two-dimensional images, which many people forget [must be like self hypnosis[you hypnotise yourself everyday when you watch tv[its a high level of concentration]]]]three-dimensional operating system would serve no purpose other than to hog resources. [Like all microsoft operating systems[2gigs for winxp[wtf?]]]

Yes, and I already have. Microsoft has had a 3D interface for Windows for about 2 1/2 years now.... I have a video that demonstrates it..... its lying around somewhere. If i can find it, Iíll compress it, and upload it to a web server, and post up the link here. (Its like 100+ MB or something)
