View Full Version : Flying away....!

So Monday night, I am off to Phoenix thru Salt Lake City. I hope my plane doesn't get terrorized or anything. It will be nice to see my old hometown and visit the folks. My dad and sister haven't even seen my one year old son yet, so they are pretty excited. I am excited too, I suppose... but I am planning on dropping some resume's while I am there, so the job hunt is making me a little nervous. Looking at my resume, I would hire me... but who knows what they will think.

Phoenix is implementing the largest Motorola Smartzone Trunking Radio System in the world... which happens to be my specialty. So I hope they need people.... we shall see.

Wish me luck.

good luck Betazep... so radio is your specialty huh? All this time I thought you were a programmer... then again, maybe that involves radioes to some extent that i don't understand.. ??

OORRR... hmm... are you programming micro computers? ooohhh... cuz i know about that! I programmed motorola micro computers in a class last fall! That stuff is pretty interesting... but pretty basic too... not sure it could keep me interested enough for a full time job.. :(

C++ programming is a hobby for me, though I should soon have a BSCS while majoring in it.

I will probably never be a programmer by trade (I have written several small programs to automate certain tasks I do...), but more a program manager w/ technical expertise...

it pays a lot more.

The job I am currently qualified for by experience, but will probably not get because I do not have a bachelors degree yet, pays about 80K per year to start.

Big jump from the 40K I am making now. So I am a bit nervous. Anyway... I leave tonight. I like flying at night. Always more peaceful....
