I've never even heard that you can program for the Palm units... I thought you could only buy propietary, canned programs for their units... ???

i'm sticking to the Windows CE programming... not that you care... but it's so much easier.. I'd sell the Palm and get yourself a Compaq, my friend.. :)

Salem... do you know if it is possible to write files with any Pocket C type compiler and just transfer those files to the Palm units?

I have eMbedded Tools from Microsoft which I think was intended to be used for just Windows CE units, but I have been wondering whether you can write apps for any handheld with C using those tools?!

I've got the same model as you, Brian... You can get a flavor of Codewarrior for it - it even comes free with the book "Programming Palm OS from the ground up". There's also a program called "Palm C" - you can get it from palmblvd.

I saw a Palm Programming book and it used Codewarrior...
