I just registered for this forum and I see that everybody has a picture under their name when they send a message. How did you get this? Where do you go to set this picture? Thanks.

I'm glad to see everyone takes every chance they get to laud my avatar!

Okay, I tried what you suggested. I had a gif image that was 50 pixels by 50 pixels, and it still said that I had an invalid image. What do I do? Thanks.

Did you try to upload it, or put in a URL where
the image is located? It gave me that error when
I put in the URL... It worked when I uploaded it,
though.

If it's over 20K, it won't work either.

Also - is GIF one of the acceptable file formats for it? I think it was, but I'm not sure

I too must show my support and approval for Govtcheez's true artistic talent... I tried to create something even half as origional and sparkly... but alas... I have fallen far short.

Okay, I have an image that is 43 pixels by 31 pixels (or something really small like that) and the file is a gif file that is 1.92 kb. Why is this still not working? I'm still getting not a valid jpg or gif image. Thanks.

Is it giving you a specific error?

Are you sure you have the "Use Avatar" or whatever checked?

Garfield

"The uploaded file is not a valid GIF or JPG file. Please ensure that it is an try again." This is the specific error. And yes, I checked the check for the avatar. I don't know why???

Was it natively a gif, or did you just change the extension?

Garfield

I just changed the extension. Why?

Govtcheez

Just changing the extension doesn't make it a valid gif or anything. Go into Photo Editor or smth and convert it that way.

I don't have "photo editor" or something like that. All I have is the original paint. If you have time, can you find a "valid" image of Garfield (the cartoon cat) to put up as my avatar? If you don't have time, I fully understand. Thanks!

Mods can't do that - I'll try to find smth later, tho, and send you a link.

You sure you don't have that? It comes with Office...

Try this link for converting:
