Would a motherboard meant for a tower computer work with a flat computer? well of course it would...but it would be a little bit unconventional when putting cards in....

My friend has a motherboard he can give me, it has an AGP slot for my old Stealth II G460 graphics card, but it also uses a Slot 1 P2 processor...which I dont have...

But anyways, it was meant for use in a tower computer...I was planning on using it in my flat compaq that is currently disabled right now (for more info on that, see the threads "A Word of Wisdom from DavidP" and "networking")....it would greatly boost its performance because I could fit up to a 300 Mhz processor on the comp (since thats what P2's go up to), up to 512 MB of ram, compared my current....32 to 64 MB or so...., and it has an AGP slot for my old graphics card which I have been wanting to use....

Anyone had any experience with a Slot 1 processor before? Where could I find a cheap Slot 1 Pentium 2 processor?

With any luck this new motherboard might be able to recognize my CDROM drive

Then I could take out this current motherboard that I have in this Compaq computer and put it to better use...or scrap it for parts...who knows...
