    Computer History...

    Everyone here knows what Multics was and when it was made?

    How many people know when the last Multics system went down forever?

    How Many people have the source code for Multics?

    Yes, the original operating system that inspired unix is now public domain, with only acredidation required for any use whatsoever.

    If there are any requirements on use, it can't be public domain. Public domain means that nobody owns it - thus, nobody has any authority to make requirements.

    Technically true, though accreditation is a minimal requirement.

    Not that I would expect there to be servers popping up running the multics-httpd-server os, it's more likely that it would be used by people to look at what was done.
