With visual c++ you first must create a project.
file->new->Win32 Console Project
Also type in the project name such as
foo
and location such as
c:\windows\desktop\my_src\foo
Do an empty project and finish. Then file->new->c++ Source File
Edit filename to be foo.cpp
and then type in something like
Code:
#include <iostream>
using std::cout;
using std::endl;
int main()
{
cout << "Hello World!" << endl;
return 0;
}
Then file->save
then add the file to the project
project->Add to project
then build
Then have a struggle with it has the stop build
doesn't work and it's crashed. I can't exit the
freaking thing because it says the build hasn't been
completed! And for some strange reason control-alt-delete
doesn't work.
