Question What you do while playing console

    Hi there,
Here's one for those of you who happen to own a console.
The situation is known: you're back home after a long day at work, then finally find some time to get a hold on the remote and kick back.

Now I was wondering - what do you like to do while playing the console?

In between action I just fiddle with anything close by. I remember years ago, while playing through Grandia (PSX) I would do this weird thing with the flap on the front of my VCR while waiting for it to load. It used to squeak and move oddly and I'd just... flap it.

    Jaysus I'm bizarre.

I do not get this question.

However, the Nintendo Wii is awesome. Super Mario
Galaxy comes out in about 3 weeks. This game is
    going to f'ing rule.

Dang. Wiis are still sold out everywhere. If they were
as easily available as the 360 was, the 360 wouldn't
have sold more units in September.

I dont understand how you can make this assumption based on no experience with the product.

Try the shops in St. louis, they have plenty of Wii's, around here the Wii is generally considered substandard even for a console. The PS3 is the popular choice.

How about try almost any town in New Jersey. I'm 25 minutes out of New York City and the stores are packed with Wii. Granted, they also have a fair amount of PS3s, but it's not as though the Wii is really the hottest item in town. This generation of games seems to have been a severe disappointment, so far... for the first time in many, many years, I see more kids asking for things like cell phones and laptops for Christmas rather than the hottest console.

Personally, I see a bigger future in the PS3 with the expected titles coming next year... many big hits there. I also see Wii's controller gimmick dying with time. It's not the future of games and people will start to get sick of it. That's just my opinion, though.

Nobody is starting to get sick of the Wii. It's still selling
better globally than the other consoles; and Nintendo just
increased production to 1.8million units / month.

And this is without a whole lot of great games (Zelda,
Metroid Prime 3). Wait until Galaxy and Smash Bros is
    released. And Mario Kart.

The Wii is and has always been a gimmick. Gimmick's don't last in technology but they do have their time. I think Wii's is coming to a close.
Yes. The DS is also a gimmick; a gimmick that has sold
more than 50 million units Worldwide and has opened
up the doors to more unique gaming experiences. There's
    nothing gimmicky about it.

The Wii's control scheme has already shown itself to be
    better for FPS games than Dual Analog (Metroid Prime 3);
not to mention the possibility of console RTS games that
    are actually fun to play.

I think you guys are just out of touch with the industry.

I have no experience with the product. Super Mario
Galaxy is already available to play at Gamestops across
    the country.

Plus, history alone says that Mario Galaxy will be awesome
as every Mario platform game rules.

Well, you live in weird-o ville, then. Because across
the rest of the world, the PS3 is the least popular
choice. Even Sony knows it; as they've been altering
the price and spec of their damn system consistently
over the last year. The lastest of which includes the
    complete removal of backwards compatibility.

I tend to play a game while playing with the console. Dunno... maybe that's just me.

I suggest getting yourself a Nintendo Wii. If you can
find one. Demand is high; supply is low. Unlike the PS3
where there are already enough units on store shelves
    to last through 2011.

This is a question worthy of YouTube.

I like to eat, drink, sleep (if the cut scene is long enough), take off my pants, put on my pants, take off other people's pants, and weep about my live as a whole while I am on the console.

    ... That's just me.

    Ok, I wasn't clear enough.
What do you tend to do besides actually playing it (if that be in between action, or waiting for your friends turn to end, or simultaneously while playing a game) ?
Things the such as eat/drink, hear music, etc

What else is there to do but play the game. Sometimes I hover from my seat to my computer and look on gamefaqs, many times I just play the game.
