Thread: 22 inch LCD! and an update to what I've been upto!

Hi folks, haven't written here in a while.

Exciting news, I got a 22 inch LCD, a viewsonic with a 2000:1 contrast ratio. It's so wide I can put my face close enough that I can't see the edges... woo productivity! The blacks are darker than the black outside the monitor, it's like staring into a void. =)

Aside that I've been doing a lot of network programming Java, and it's giving me headaches but I have a great distributed project parsing English sentences, and doing other linguistics analysis. Very exciting stuff, I have seven computers in my room, so hot sometimes! Other than that, yeah that's about it. Hi all! Nice to stop by! What's new?

Me: school and work :-) that's how life is, eh? Got 2 years left in my undergrad of CS. I'm working on campus doing web development and server side scripting.

not to trump you or anything....but at work I got a dual monitor 22" and 23" setup

Oh well, it's relative anyway right? To compensate for the time I had to use a 17 inch down from a 19, I just put the screen closer to my face. =) But this one is amazing, you scroll, and you keep on scrolling, haha. So, but yeah nice to hear from you again David! Get on IM sometime we can chat.

42" Plasma.

Took back the 42" LCD with 10,000:1 contrast. Blacks were not good enough(everything else including PC at 1920x1080 was great).
