I'm not sure I follow. I wasn't "calling him out" on anything; my comment was directed at the part about the "apple zombies", and wasn't even totally serious. I don't even know anything about, or own, the wii.Originally Posted by indigo0086

mac > windows

If people could just accept these basic facts we wouldn't have these sorts of arguments.
I used to wonder where all the Apple profits went from all the mindless zombies who buy into apple brainwashing "oooh look at the coool surfer-dude guy with wavy hair, wow mac MUST be uber-cool, plus I'm waaay too dumb to actually have to configure anything myself" since steve jobs official salary is just $1.00. The answer came to me when I went to the Mac store recently... it all goes into designer lighting for their showrooms, apparently they're no longer selling PCs anymore, no, they're selling an image now, and its disguntingly pathetic how many people buy into that image.
Ditto for, Wii, and to a lesser extent Xbox 360, PS3, and Vista.
ZOMG guys a WEB BROWSER in my CONSOLE... its almost like a... a... PC, WOW.
In other words, see Maxorator's uberly accurate graph.
... i sense somebody that isn't cool enough to own a mac or Wii. It's ok bro, we can't all be cool.
I have a Wii now. And yep, it's more awesomer than anything
from Microsoft or Sony. I don't think I'm acting in any particular
negative way. It's you that's namecalling; that's turning it
into something personal. Sorry, man. It's time you do some
reflecting of your own. .
Listen, Lemming, I can easily label you as a mindless zombie,Originally Posted by Lemming
too; but I won't do that. It would be mean. I just think you
have a shallow, superficial view of the medium. Which is okay;
nothing wrong with that. Don't take that as an insult.
I, personally, don't care how powerful a console is. It just
doesn't matter to me anymore. Graphics have reached a point
where the quality seems more dependent on art direction than
technology. Metroid Prime 3 looks better than most 360 games
I've seen; because of its art direction.
I'm glad the Wii isn't as powerful as the 360. Not only did I save
some cash, as well as the hassle of having to replace it time and
time again because Microsoft didn't design the console very well,
but the limitations force developers to think outside of the box
during design and development. They need to think about what
they can add to their title to make it stand up against the Halo 3s
or Gears of Wars; the teenager games.
As for forming an opinion before I even played it. See, the
uniqueness and ingenuity of the Wii is so disticnct, that one
doesn't actually need to play it to see its potential. Plus, Nintendo
was right with the DS - something that I bought at launch. So
their experiments have earned them some trust from me.
They know what they're doing.
Sony and MS just follow Nintendo.

Michael (who I know in real life), as I have said time and time again, the amount of blood/gore in a game does not affect the quality of the game. It is very easy to add some dark red splotches of color to the game compare to the actual game design.
Metroid Prime 3, a very well designed game, has better quality graphics than that of an Xbox360. Reason being the vivid and varying environments and the wide array of enemies. The scenery in this game is the best of any game I have ever seen. They made everything unique to its location and don't use the same pieces over and over.
I, unlike many gamers, am not made of money. I can not afford to dish out monthly payments to Micro$oft just to play online. With the Wii, I can have free online entertainment (Mario Strikers Charged Wi-Fi is awesome), global weather, global news, a very good web browser, etc. No cost, unless of course I am buying games on Virtual Console, which only about 20% as they did when that game came out.
As said in previous posts, the Xbox360 is not a reliable system. 4/5 People I know have had their Xbox360's break down at least once, including my brother's. Another example of Micro$oft's poor quality products: scratched Halo 3 disks. Most of the "Legendary Edition" disks are scratched due to poor packaging design.
Nintendo, on the other hand, can be trusted. I have inherited and NES, SNES, and an N64 from my brothers. I have bought and Gamecube, a Nintendo DS, Gameboys, and a Wii. Everything works flawlessly. The only thing that doesn't work perfectly is a cheap *non-Nintendo brand* NES controller that was bought used off of ebay.
Some Wii games I hope to get:
Medal of Honor (32 player Wi-Fi)
Smash Bros. Brawl
Super Mario Galaxy
Some DS game I want:
Legend of Zelda: PH
Mario Party DS
Contra 4
(I have an R4DS so I can get free trials of DS games.)
Michael (Limming), If I didn't know you personally, It would be very difficult for me to interpret that message. I have learned how you write over the years so I know that "Unreal tuornment" is Unreal Tournament.
That just freaked me out. Are you really two different people,
or two different personalities inside the same body? Huh? HUH?
