Well actually in school today someone asked me something about computers and I told her how it was done and told her it was easy and she said "ofcourse, you are computer nerd" and I said "yes, and proud of it", so I guess that pretty much answers your question.
There are some real morons in this world please do not become one of them, do not become a victim of moronitis. PROGRAMMING IS THE FUTURE...THE FUTURE IS NOW!!!!!!!!!

I think geeks ain't what they used to be. It is now cool, because you can impress people with your l33t skills.

An example of a warped sense of geek reality.

In addition to being part math nerd, I am a computer geek.

Well, I voted yes, although let me define the word "Geek" the way I have pride for it.

I do NOT define a true "Geek" as a guy with a white collared shirt, black slacks that are too short for him, stupid glasses, and a pencil protector.

I define "Geek" as having the ultramodern hacker look. Messy hair, thick black glasses, baggy pants, and so on define hacker for me.
What will people say if they hear that I'm a Jesus freak?
What will people do if they find that it's true?
I don't really care if they label me a Jesus freak, there is no disguising the truth!

So, you define geek as someone who doesn't actually have a programming job? (sorry, baggy pants and messy hair aren't exactly prized commodities in the workplace)

    Red face

a hacker is someone who desires to learn more about a certain (I cant think of a word so) "thingy." A hacker is not one of those media produced "crash the comp. k-rad 133t" dudes (crackers/black hat/ code kiddies ... etc). Guess what, I hacked a comp, I CHANGED MY WALLPAPER

No - just sayin' that if you go around with the baggy pants and disheveled looks to a job interview, you won't have the world's greatest chacne of getting anywhere.
