    Offline Visual Studio 2005 Installation

    Facing a problem here.

My Visual Studio 2005 Express is kaput. I need to reinstall. However I'm currently facing a problem with it. My computer at home is not connected to internet until I get the folks to come and install an ISDN line (new home I moved recently). The public library from which I connect to the internet doesn't obviously allow executables to be ran.

I can't seem to find a way in the Microsoft website to download a full installation file of the express edition. You know any way?

I have made a CD from the ISO file given at the Manual Installation Instructions for Express Editions page. It worked for me, full installation.

If they do, I ask them to find the smallest example that exhibits the problem and send me that. Mostly, they then find the error themselves. "Finding the smallest program that demonstrates the error" is a powerful debugging tool.

Thanks so much Laserlight. I wasn't finding that page for some reason.
