    Acclaim's new contest

Acclaim sounds like they don't have a dev team or an engine for their 'Top Secret' project.

That's absolutely insane. Why on earth would I put $100,000 worth of work into something if I'm not even guaranteed to get paid?

You can get college students to do anything, I guess. $100,000 buys a LOT of beer.

Sounds like they're open-sourcing the project, except that they retain the copyright for everything and the license is not really open-source, much less free, and that they then intend to make money by selling the thing.

    Waaay to go ...

And all the while making it sound like the best deal on the planet. They make it sound as if you are finally making it big in the industry yet they fail to mention that Acclaim hasn't made it big in quite some time.

    David Perry made Earthworm Jim...

That's pretty much all he's done that's worth mentioning.
