    Convert WAV to MID

    is there a way to convert WAV files to MID without making a composition?

    do to download.com. There are several programs to do this. I have one called WIDI.

    The basic thoery behind doing this is:

    Capture the frequency of the sound in a WAV file.
    Convert to musical notes.
    Place musical notes on a staff.
    Save as MIDI format.
