    Yep or Yup?

I have heard and seen it both ways, but I don't know what the proper one is. (assuming there is one)
So, do you use yup or yep?

It's hard to tell when you have no real yes/no question to answer casually... you kind of need it to get a natural result. So I guess I'll help out.

    Code:
Should Queatrix stop posting these pointless polls?
    Yes.

Hey, what'd ya know... My choice isn't in your poll. Sorry.

I'm honestly shocked that you care enough to post a poll about it.

I use both depending upon context. Guess that means I'm with Sly. My answer is not in your poll.

Yes, but I don't think you have access to that forum.

Can we ban people from only posting polls so they can still make other types of posts?
"Owners of dogs will have noticed that, if you provide them with food and water and shelter and affection, they will think you are god. Whereas owners of cats are compelled to realize that, if you provide them with food and water and shelter and affection, they draw the conclusion that they are gods."

I take it to mean that the admins/mods have discussed the subject of what they may see as pointless polls, and at least one person was advocating that the subject of a poll should be a "big deal", as you say, "in order to post a poll about", but I could be wrong in my interpretation.

Besides being a pointless poll, you didn't even give enough information. What context are we talking? You use yep and yup in different situations.
    For example:
    Is Queatrix a moron? Yep
Would you rather spend the next year with the Devil then see another Queatrix poll? Uhhhh... yup

    Yup.
If I did your homework for you, then you might pass your class without learning how to write a program like this. Then you might graduate and get your degree without learning how to write a program like this. You might become a professional programmer without knowing how to write a program like this. Someday you might work on a project with me without knowing how to write a program like this. Then I would have to do you serious bodily harm. - Jack Klein
