I disagree. While sometimes great ideas go unrecognized, that doesn't mean they always will. Einstein will well respected.

that's one of the reasons i'd associate great figures with a pad and pen and good verb usage... if it's written, it will be kept...

i feel this is an unfortunate truth... i find that oral-histories have true power... [their citizens would make great calculus students given their memory...] for example if one of us here left, we would all try to keep them in our thoughts for their accomplishments, but their remnants would inevitably be lost... if they had written, it can only be prolonged to such extent... which is apparently much greater than if they hadn't written at all... [which is one reason i have a journal]

This def is a problem. It comes from forward thinkers. Usually the average people arnt ready to realise what the great thinker has said or done yet. After he dies, it either becomes more apparent from further advances or people on average get smarter as humans get more knowledge. The main reason this happens is that if you dont have the advanatge of looking back...a blowhard moron will often look like the genius with radical new ideas
Youve gotto have respect for these guys...most of them go for there new thought full bore...and many turn out to be wrong And those that turn out to be right arnt justified until there dead...thats really a rough path for a human to take...they must be very sure of themselves. Personally I like the quiter ones though...just tinkering away without championing there ideas in the publices face..leonardo comes to mind. But thats just me.

And obviously this isnt always the case...nothing is very often ALWAYS the case...but I think it happens quite a bit.

hitler did get germany back on it's feet, remember? and he was a great politician. i'm not supporting what he did do that you are referring to though.
