    T100k

    http://cboard.cprogramming.com/showthread.php?t=100000
How long will it be before thread number 100,000 makes it onto the board?

Vote for a date range, then reply with a more refined prediction if you want to.

    I'm going for a solstice celebration - 21st June.

Can we attempt to help our guesses come true by spamming the boards?

I'm thinking after July. Still have over 9000 to go.

We're not even close. I'd guess a bit more than 1000 threads a month, so I'm thinking January 28, 2008.

BTW, I think I made post number 500000. Woot!

I'd have to say well into next year (2008). 20 threads per day and about 9500 to go means 475 days or about October of 2008. I'd have my 2D game done by then with 80% certainty.

Edit: this is post number 647686. When you reply to any thread, you can see it in the address at the very end as "#post647686" where the number is the post number. The things after the question mark are variables.

Does this take into account queatrix's threads? Because if it does I'm going to say the middle of the summer.

Nope, just the one that can't count all of a sudden

    90K + 1K != 100K

The first four choices are pretty much lame.

... and... you almost clinched a "no" with that one.

The first seven choices are pretty much lame because Salem mistakenly thought we were only 1000 threads from 100,000.

    7. It is easier to write an incorrect program than understand a correct one.
    40. There are two ways to write error-free programs; only the third one works.*

The first two were probably test threads by kermi and alex

Also Jesus, almost none of those people post here anymore
