Exclamation Where did THAT come from?!

Now why did THAT have to be added?
About half of the time it says that I put in an invalid code; let alone this, even having it there discouriges me from wanting to use it. And I think that newbies will agree, causing more questions that have already been answerd a gazzillion times to be posted.
    Please voice your opinion.

    EDIT:

    >> ??? What are you referring to? "Why did that
    >> have to be added" - what is this thing "added"?

Yeah, sorry about that. Try to search the forums. See the colorful image?

    I don't see a search validator.

    I also don't see a public poll.

I don't see a "colorful image", either, nor a public poll.

I think most of the board will agree that anything that discourages you from using the board is a good thing

The code in the image that they showed you is case sensitive, Queatrix.

I don't see anything. I just tried a random search for "realloc array" without the quotes and for messages having at least 1 reply, within the C programming board, but I didn't see anything odd or unusual, and even clicking on some of the links doesn't have anything odd or unusual. Either the problem is fixed or I'm maybe just a lucky one. I'm still not sure what you're referring to.

Maybe if the thread or your posts made any sense to someone who wasn't a mindreader, you'd get a little more positive response.

Okay then, I will say it again more clearly...

I just found out that it's only there when you're not logged in.

What you're talking about is called a Captcha. Personally I think that captchas are a good thing, although it heavily depends on the method used. I absolutely HATE captchas where I need three tries myself because the letters were simply not readable.

Oh, you mean that thing with text on it mixed in with an image having a complex background? If so, then it's likely to prevent spambots from using the search feature and prevent the server from being bogged down. If that's the case, then I like the addition of the feature because it means a faster forum and faster transfer times.
