    >> It is kind of odd that there are 17 users online but no moderators, given that the board just crashed or whatever.
    I know. Sad day for cboard We've lost a lot today. And for what?

    I wonder how many posts intotal were lost? How many threads on average a day? I'd say on average ... about 40 threads a day? That's a lot!

    The complexity thread got moved. I'm guessing there's been at least one mod on since the board reappeared.

    Also, I'm guessing the board backup was from early morning of 1/24/07. Just look at the last posts in popular boards.

    Well, let's see . . . my average changes very little, so I'll use 5.30 posts per day. I lost about 300 posts. That means the board was down for approximately 300/5.30 = 56.39 days. Assuming that your post count changes very little too, you lost about 0.42*56.39 = ~24 posts. Lucky you. [edit] Yoshi, that is. Evidently I'm not as fast at math as I should be. [/edit]

    I think I've been doing too much math recently . . .

    But have you been thinking you should get a degree in greek along with the math because you seem to never use real numbers any more? Let me say this: Electromagnetic Field Theory is neither as fun or as interesting as you may originally have though!

    56 days sounds about right. I lost about 100-150 i reckon. I think I average about 2.5 a day, maybe more.

    shouldn't that make you faster?

    It's in your profile. "2.96 posts per day".

    I know that, but it's not an accurate result because seeing as I should be studying these day I'm not so I'm spending more time online. It's too high.

    I've lost about 40 posts I think. And the thread that contained the quote by Ahluka that was in my sig doesn't exist anymore either.

    >> Nobody ever sends me PMs. Then again, I haven't exactly been around much recently.

    Say, now that MY ENCRYPTION THREAD IS GONE, how did you crack it?
    And BTW, I sent you a PM right before the board crashed.

    I lost about 100 posts.

    AND YES, I AM GOING TO SPAM WITH A 1,000 THREAD AGAIN!!!!! *EVIL LAUGH*

    I think they've actually rolled back the recent changes they made to the site or something. The minor differences I had noticed have disappeared, like the "reason for editing" textbox, and lack of a 'proceed' button.
    I've lost just over 50 posts.
    I had just set up my profile nicely too.

    Actually, I'll explain tomorrow when I'm not so bloody tired.

    Rofl. So. True. I have absolutely got to remember that one for my Physics class. There was a test not too far back where we were allowed calculators. Except nobody touched them during the entire test. All of "here's the right answer. Now show how to integrate the original formula to get this one."
    Then again, how many numbers, truely, do you see in programming? Greek just isn't legal for C variable/function names, that's all. Unless you choose to:
    Code:
    int alpha, phi;
    double rho;

    So, collectively, how many posts were lost?
