    I use 1024x768 usually (24 and 32 bit colour), and sometimes 1280x800 (widescreen, ugh) 32-bit. It depends on what computer I'm using.

    1024x768 on my laptop, and 1280x1024 on the monitor I hook up to my laptop, and both the screens hooked up to my desktop.

    Yeah, but on the bright side those "Dumb Consoles" don't (or maybe can't?) display the infamous "blue screen of death".

    I use 1280 by 960 at 85Hz because anything bigger and I'd have to fiddle around with font sizes and such. However, my monitor can do 1600 by 1200 at 85Hz if I ever choose to do so.

    Here's a theory - screen resolution multiplied by programmer skill is a constant
