Maybe I should get a new monitor, like, a nice one with a higher refresh rate.
For now I'm using 1152x864@85Hz. It doesn't look that bad (size-wise) except I've had to nuke half of my desktop icons.

Here's a theory - screen resolution multiplied by programmer skill is a constant
Sounds pretty accurate, as it looks like I have the highest resolution so far.Quote:

My new laptop is wide screen. I don't know what res - forgot what the spec said, and I'll only get it tomorrow.
Are you adding the two Xs and Ys together to get that number, because I don't see how you can possibly pull off that many pixels with your setup.Quote:

He added 1600x1200 and 1600x1024.

A tad high, but 2048x1536 @ 75hz, on a 21" CRT (Gotta love the Trinitron based screens)
I have a 20" widescreen LCD running on 1680x1050. Also, what I estimate to be and 18" CRT. I don't have it set up to use both, but I could. As well as various other monitors laying around my room.
Before LCD monitors became popular, 1024x768 was the most common resolution.
LCDs made 1280x1024 resolution and widescreen so popular.
Now when I think of the past... how could I ever use 640x480 resolution? It seems so freaky now...
