    Prelude's Baby Betting Pool

The time is drawing near, so let's have a little game of it. This is about all we have to go on:
"The rough estimate is January 5th."
    The ground rules:
    1. Guess what day the baby will be born (the poll had a maximum of 15 options).
    2. What time of day it will be born [edit](local time)[/edit].
    3. And the weight and length (I'd prefer pounds & ounces and inches).
    4. Whether it’s a boy or a girl.

    Summary:

    7. It is easier to write an incorrect program than understand a correct one.
    40. There are two ways to write error-free programs; only the third one works.*

The VIPs have been privy to it for some time now.

    Here's the "insider" "information":
    • The first baby comes early.
    • Girls come early.
So my wife took a standard two week combined handicap for a first girl.

I am guessing boy, for no real reason, so I went with bigger and later.

At this point I doubt she's dropped yet, and I sincerely doubt we'd see a picture to see how she's carrying anyway -- so lacking gender hints the rest is just really a guess. But there is some fun in that.

There. Now we can argue about these myths/common wisdoms/wives tales I presented too.

Wha? You mean Prelude won't be posing nude a la Cover Girl style on the cover of next month's Vanity Fair?

If you dance barefoot on the broken glass of undefined behaviour, you've got to expect the occasional cut.
If at first you don't succeed, try writing your phone number on the exam paper.

I didn't even know Prelude was pregnant.

So I'll bet instead (no offense meant).

    - January, 2
    - 16:50
    - 7.5 lbs
    - 19.5 inches
    - A baby girl! What else? I bet Prelude's X chromosome planted a warning sign outside against any intruders.
