I figure it's going to cost about 1% as much as the Iraq war, and it gives me pretty pictures, so it's worth it.

The war is always a lame argument. We add to the debt through this waste of time called 'NASA'. Wars happen, for the best or worst, sadly, for the worst. However, nobody can change the past, only the future!

Right. Going into space is easily the worst idea we've ever had.

well if that asteroid comes...
...we can take pretty pictures of it?
I was talking more about getting into space, but barring that, yes, we could take pretty pictures.

No, those are just the only ones you hear about.
I estimate that the money spent on WWII all together is enough to make an Intrepid class starship.
I don't live in US, that's why I hear about other wars too.No, those are just the only ones you hear about.
For example Kazakhstan and Russia.

Kazak-who? Russia? I've never heard of them. I'm just an American imbecile brainwashed by the American media, which only reports American wars so I don't know what's going on in the world. I wish we had a free press like Estonia's! Oh wait, we do. Whew.

There is a difference between tedious and difficult.
In all fairness the BBC is boring and depressing. The reporters all sound like they need midol or zantac and they talk about practically nothing. I know because the Jazz radio station thinks it's "cool" too play it on the top of the hour"
I think we should just let hubble go out with a bang and crash into a random spot on earth.
