    I think Apple has just been stupid not to open up it's DRM scheme. If they had, they might have even been able to charge a royalty for the format. Now it just goes to the competitors' advantage. Serves Apple darn right.

    Correct me if I'm wrong, but it looks like all he's done is get an iPod to support DRM other than Apple's.

    I mean, I've always been able to put DRM-less music on my iPod without a problem, so that's not new.

    Edit: Actually, I misread that. I think this means that iPods can now play songs bought on Napster, for example.
