I have some 14.4 modems that still work... didn't know anyone used anything that slow anymore though.
Up untill a little while ago, I was on a connection that could vary from 14.4kbps to 24kbps, if you were lucky.didn't know anyone used anything that slow anymore though.

I get free dial-up from school, but that's as fast as I could go. I'd telnet to the school to test my programs and have to wait a quarter- or half-second between keypresses. I couldn't handle it. My wife finally caved on getting cable internet when she lost an ebay auction at the last second and couldn't get another bid up in time.
There is a difference between tedious and difficult.
