Tutrorials for writing a very basic OS

Does anyone know of any websites that have tutorials for writing a very basic operating system in Windows(using C or Assembly). I've tried google, but there was nothing of use there.
    Thanks

Look into the Minix Kernel and Kernel programming/development that might be a better route to take. Also I suggest you read the 1st few chapters of any book/article titled along the lines of: "Operating Systems: Principles and Design" might give you an idea of why tha mighty google failed!!!! Just thought I'd mention that I've got an idea for a good structure/feature that should be implemented into an OS. With the incoming onslaught of MS's new junk, I've been questioning whether, given what we know now and the state of IT nowadays, we can go back to square zero to better perfect the wheel.. Would be nice if ppl would like to start a new OS movement
