I had a similar situation. A guy a knew hadn't done his assignments, and his instructor was giving him one chance at the end of the semester to turn it in. He asked me to do it. I said, "I'll be more than happy to help you out if you get stuck, or give you ideas, but I really don't want to do it for you." He says "No I don't have time, I really just need you to do it so I can pass, I'll buy you a beer or something." I asked again--he said no, so I wrote it. This was an intro to c++ class. So I used vector<>, for_each(), and std::copy with cout to write the contents of the vector to the console window. I figured the instructor would get the idea.
I heard later that the instructor wanted to meet with him about the code he turned in, and was only willing to give him credit if he could explain it line by line. Needless to say, he didn't have the meeting, and didn't pass the class.
The cool part was, after I finished it for him, but before he turned it in, he actually bought me a beer and thanked me for it.

Yes, I felt bad, but only a little bit. He didn't even know what std::vector was, because he either hadn't gone to class or wasn't paying attention enough. And like I said, I was willing to sit down and help him through every little problem as long as he did it himself. But all he wanted was the grade, and he wanted someone else to earn it for him. And I really don't have much respect or tolerance for that. So really...he deserved what he got.

My favorite one I wrote for a classmate who was persistant... We were supposed to make an array and print it out. Well it printed "This person cheated" the array was all ints and it casted them as it printed. He got really ........ed off when the teacher made a public displayal of his program in class. The teacher laughed when he showed it to the class and told him if he is ever caught doing something like this again.. he will make sure he is expelled.
I made sure I didn't walk alone on campus for the next couple weeks, but he got what he deserved.

Duh, 13 years ago, while I was studying in local vocational school we had this C/C++ course where most of my classmates knew more about how to cure cancer than what the hell is computer.
Anyway, our teacher knew less than me (he was actually learning programming basics so to speak) and we did not get along too well while I was being arrogant all-knowing prat and that poor sod was teaching things wrong to rest of the class. In the end we had this big assignment to do: "make a program that uses all which has been covered during past year".
Ofcourse most of my class was "in trouble" so to speak, except the fact there was, uh, Me! Oh I did alot of money in those few weeks and I also went quite innovative about what kinds of programs I write for almost everyone everything from tile-based dungeon crawl games to small pixel-drawing tools and ... all nice little programs. Everyone scored top scores from those assignments... except me.
About my work my teacher came to discuss with me about it "From which book you copied this program from?" just because I used this mcga BGI driver which was not by default supplied with Borland Turbo C++ and eventhough I supplied that file in the disc I gave to my teacher he failed to launch the project properly to have the project directory set to where the project is ("A:\") but in borland's default directory and my program didnt execute.
Morale of the story?

People should just do it themselves and not complain that much when others cheat, because you're not learning to get the "papers", you're learning to succeed in the future. We can't do anything about it anyway.
