    I thought it was good, and I am sure that it will get even better as they progress. Anyone going to submit to the contest? I wish I had time this week. I didn't see any time limit. Does anyone know anything about that?

    Really good newsletter...

    one discrepency though...

    In the XOR article it said that C++ has no exclusive-OR function, but it does. Nobody knows about it because the operator for exclusive-OR is usually used for the power function in most other languages, so when somebody trys to use it and it doesnt work, they assume that it just doesnt do anything. It is the:

    ^

    The carrot ( ^ ) is C++'s XOR operator. I figured that out last year...its pretty easy for people to look over that because the ^ is usually used for the power function. If you do:

    x = true ^ false;

    or

    x = 1 ^ 0;

    x will equal the XOR of 1 and 0...which is 1 (or true).

    Thanks for the comments. David (and nv), I'll include a note in the next newsletter about the XOR operator. Thanks for pointing that out.

    I noticed the same thing there David

    other than the small discrepancy which david already noted, It was an excellent newsletter, if any help is ever needed maintaining the content I could try to write an article sometime.
