An improvement for the board...

So many people now ask questions, and are asked what compiler they are using.

I honestly think that adding a new item on the left side of your post (where the Location, Posts, and Join Date go) would be a good improvement for this board.

That new item would be a Compiler item. Seeing how this board runs on PHP, it wouldn't be hard for the webmaster to do.

It would prevent a great number of posts from being posted, and it's a lot more important than where you live.

Please give your opinion on this idea, Queatrix.

I see you point, but I noticed that you asked me in a thread just today what compiler I was using, even though it is in my sig.

Yes. That's because you made mention to something that I knew for a fact it wouldn't compile in any of the compilers you have in your sig. So I wondered what else were you using.

Because a User CP option would at least inform them that it's potentially useful information, as opposed to having them somehow divine that fact and put it in their signature.

I used have them in my sig, then it wend all inviable, then that went away, and now it's colorful. Perhaps if it was a form on registration, just a tick option, if you get me.

It annoys me when people have sigs longer than their own post, it would be nicer to have this a profile item rather than taking up room in your sig.
