    >> some of us use more than one compiler.

    So? You just use Compiler1/Compiler2.

    Echo this. While I like the idea, I don't think it will help that much. If I'm using more than one compiler, I'll still have to tell you which one I'm using; the compiler field becomes noise. If a newbie doesn't fill in the field, he/she still has to tell you which one he/she is using; the compiler field is meaningless. Even worse, let's say I usually use one compiler, but then I start using another one and forget to change my profile; the compiler field is just wrong.
    If I did your homework for you, then you might pass your class without learning how to write a program like this. Then you might graduate and get your degree without learning how to write a program like this. You might become a professional programmer without knowing how to write a program like this. Someday you might work on a project with me without knowing how to write a program like this. Then I would have to do you serious bodily harm. - Jack Klein

    it's a good idea, but like other people have brought up, lots of people use many compilers and different languages... and some people don't use any compilers...

    for example, when I was in school, I was using at least 3 C/C++ compilers, 2 java 'compilers', a VB compiler, not to mention PHP and Perl.

    and Dev-C++ isn't a compiler btw

    Beep(2000, 100);, why didn't that work!?
    Because you have to use BBCode, not HTML!!!

    I think the sig is a good place for it, and it can be seen in user profiles (Because you can see their sig there).
