Faith No More - You don't have "Epic" or "We Care A Lot"?
Red Hot Chili Peppers - No hits from any of their earlier albums? Only the latest?
Placebo - Don't have "Pure Morning"?
I got Rod D "Clubbed to Death" as well... off of the Matrix soundtrack but it's a 7 minute long version of that song I think.
No Metallica/Tool?
Heard on the radio this morning they are comming out with a lullabye version of some Metallica songs... might pick that one up to see how it sounds. OMG I just checked that link and they have Tool also... Pink Floyd, Nirvana. Song samples sound all wind-chimey.
If you like Metallica and classical music you might check out Apocalyptica... they are a classicaly trained Finish (?) string quartet that does some covers of Metallica songs.
What about Rage Against the Machine?

>> love all the motorhead...everyone needs to a little trashy metal sometimes!!!
Nope I only have that Faith No More track where I ripped it from San Andreas (check my other thread). Nope just Stadium Arcadium. I've only got that single of Placebo's and didn't think that much of it - doesn't warrant getting an album. Precious, precious money.Faith No More - You don't have "Epic" or "We Care A Lot"?

Never really given Metallica the time of day - I really should.
What about RATM? I've got one track, again from SA. I was actually thinking of getting an album soon, like weekend soon.
EDIT: Added some QUOTE tags - looked silly with just '>>'.

Good class architecture is not like a Swiss Army Knife; it should be more like a well balanced throwing knife.

RATM used to be my favorite band a few years back, but now they're just ok. I have their "The Battle of Los Angeles" CD and it's pretty good. Have you heard only that one song by RATM? They're music is, in my opinion, pro-anarchy which is kind of a turn off for me but I like the music.

Neo: "That's why it's going to work."

Just that song and Wake Up, which is also pretty good.Originally Posted by jmd15

Need to write a perl script to change my playlist from just filenames to the nice artist - album - title format... couple hours from now I will post it up, have some other things to do .
Contrary to what someone said, I don't think your Pink Floyd collection is that good ... it's just their best of double disk, is it? Plus some. Where are Led Zeppelin in that list???
Yeah Wake Up was pretty good and I don't think I've heard that other one but I know there are ones better than Wake Up on The Battle of L.A. CD. My favorites off that CD are: Guerilla Radio, Calm Like a Bomb, New Millennium Homes, and War Within A Breath. That's an MD5 hash in my sigOriginally Posted by ahluka

Yes, it's Echoes. Both CD's.

Sorry buddy, I should have used sarcasm tags. You should get their 'Atom Heart Mother' album ... possibly the weirdest one ever created! I love it! Especially the first song. The first time I listened to it, I thought it was so bad that it would be worth listening to it again, just to see how bad it was ... now I love it. It's a good one to study with.
God damn I can't get enough of this live: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T3GCj___VFw
It's just so groovy. Love it.
He buggers it up at the end... great recovery though.
EDIT: This one seems to sound better http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h9afL...mp%20de%20Bump

All this Enya talk is weird - I was listening to Enya's latest album earlier at work!
Metallica have some really fantastic stuff, and I'm not just talking about Nothing
Else Matters - good song, but overplayed. Master and Battery are fan favourites
and I love them, but my all time Metallica favourites are Of Wolf and Man, My
Friend of Misery and The God That Failed - absolute genius - check em out!
Also, a little Guns n' Roses goes down nice if you're into it - Civil War is a class
song.
Seriously though - major absence of Thin Lizzy - probably my favourite band
for the last while - their stuff just blows me away - inspired (and often
inspirational) lyrics, fantastic guitar harmonies - I love it!
For Chillis, Californication and By The Way are superior albums lyrically, while
the guitar on Stadium stands out a lot more, which is good I suppose. I've
only listened to Stadium once since I got it, so I can't quite pass judgement
yet, but I'm disappointed - I just can't relate to the new material as much as
the other albums. I'll have to listen to it a couple more times before I dismiss it
though.
Other stuff - The Raconteurs debut offering is pretty cool IMO, as is José
González's album Veneer - really smooth and relaxing acoustic session music.
EDIT: The Strokes last album was apparently disappointing, but Room on Fire is
a very nice little album to have.

Long Long Journey is my favourite on that album.
The whole album reminds me of the beginning of the year when, due to circumstances beyond our control (office damage) we had to work from home. I was listening to it pretty much the whole time.

Just ripped my 2CD Jimi Hendrix compilation thingy I forgot I had. WMA Lossless rocks.
Also downloading ( legally, of course ) tons of Hendrix right now. I'm really in the mood for him today.
Considering ripping Coldplay X&Y which has been taunting me from my desk ever since I ripped Parachutes.
