Damn, my team stunk it up. Your team did too, just not as bad as mine though

Yeah, I'm still ........ed I got Manning and Smith as my first two picks Just made matters worse that Smith is injured and Manning didn't have a great game. And I'm stuck with Smith since I'll only trade him for a quality RB but I doubt anyone will offer.

This league is gonna blow for me. Not that it's any different from my other ones. I got shafted this year.

And hey SM! There is no "buckeye" in the portion of the state that I live in. As far as I'm concerned, I live on 1/3 of an acre of Steeler country, biotch! Besides, I think I'm almost as close to U of M as I am to OSU, which is a good thing in my book! Go Wolverines!

    Let me get some opinions...

Defense: Pitt @Jacksonville or San Diego vs Tenn.

I personally got to go with San Diego here... #1 run defense in the NFL vs what is possibly the worst team in the NFL, who, by the way, haven't really established a starting QB slot, yet. Collins blows. If Tennessee gets more than 10 points, I'd be surprised. On the other hand... Pittsburgh is a quality team, but they have stiff competition in the Jaguars and they're in Jacksonville.

So what do you all think?

Easily San Diego. Pittsburgh and Jax are both playoff quality teams, and I wouldn't want to pick between them unless something huge happened. Hell, even with Lions reject Charlie Batch at the helm, they whupped on the Dolphins, who some people even have going to the Super Bowl ( ). I don't think the Titans are the worst team in the league, but they're definitely in the bottom half. SD has arguably the best RB and TE in the league, and should run all over them.

The same for this week, however Pitt projects better for the season and that seems to be the deciding factor for these people. Pitt won the Superbowl last year... Tennessee went 4-12 last year... that's the only facts they consider.

Not looking good for me though. Ward only had 4 games last season where he didn't get more than 7 points. Go Jacksonville Defense!

Woo Hoo! Great pickup of Baltimore Defense off waivers by, uhhh, me.

Watching the Raider/Raven game (especially the first quarter) was great for three reasons:
    1. I just picked up Baltimore off waivers and they got 6 turnovers, gave up only 6 points, and even through in a safety... sorry ober, maybe next time.
    2. I've got Stover in the ES league, and the Ravens just couldn't get it into the endzone... result: field goal after field goal after field goal.
    3. ESPN's the Sports Guy has mentioned several times about Art Shell's face during the games and how it doesn't move and he doesn't say anything no matter how bad it gets, he just stands there with his headset on. I didn't believe him at first, but then I saw back-to-back Raider fumbles and other crappy play, and each time they showed Shell there he was standing with his headset on and no expression, not talking to anybody. That's some funny shtuff.
