If you dance barefoot on the broken glass of undefined behaviour, you've got to expect the occasional cut.
If at first you don't succeed, try writing your phone number on the exam paper.

The team believes it is possible to make chips run at 1,000 Ghz, or one Terahertz, at room temperature.
What do they base that on, given that they needed liquid helium to get this to run at half that speed?

A chip like that gives us newbie coders a stack overflow in just a percentage of a second. It scares me.

Definately cool looking. Apparently with the advent of "good" manmade diamonds, they are looking to increase speed further by using diamond semi-conductors. Unfortunately they predict this will probably happen somewhere around 2012 or so...

Computer Science advances with the technology in the same manner.

Sure, 30 years down the road making a game like Doom might be equivalent to today's "Hello World" programs, but the real computer science will be utilizing the technology and producing things like Artificial Intelligence, Virtual Reality, and everything else you see on Star Trek.

I wonder if Miles Dyson had anything to do with that chip?

Oh yeah... Virtual Reality will be great.

Horror games like Resident Evil will sell all of about 6 copies.

I can see some sloppily made programs in the future "oh no man, don't worry, its not like it'll effect performance."
