    Pascal? Is that still even useful? I haven't heard about that for a while now. I'm currently trying to teach myself ASM and some web scripting languages.
    I think Pascal still IS useful. Delphi is very powerful tool for people who develop simple Windows applications and even something more complicated due to ActiveX-like components system. Compiler is very fast, but not the output itself Although I currently use only and entirely VC++, I don't think Pascal is unuseful. If you take a look at any graphical algorithms book, it's Pascal what is usually used for describing an entity of an algorithm.

    I'm with silentstrike. All they teach here is Java, Java, Java. So I've been teaching myself C++ (and neglecting my Intro to Java course). I doubt I'll have much use for it after the course is over. Imho VS.net will replace any need there ever was for it.

    Then again what do I know, I'm a newbie.
