    Listening to "Stage" by Live.

At LAN Game Night at my friend's house. I've been here for 2 hours and haven't done a damn thing yet. Maybe we'll actually play now.

Its 11:26 and I'm reading this, neglecting any programming that I need to get done.

    9:05 AM ET:

I'm so damned tired. I'm tired!!! Let's do a run-down of my weeked, shall we?

    friday night:

Got home from school and sat around doing nothing, called up matt and laughed a bit at how alain wanted seatingarrangements @ the movies. Talked for a bit longer, hung up, called amanda to find she was at the mall, called matt again and talked about what we were doing to get to the movies. decided on me going to his house and having his mom take us to amanda's. Later we're at the movies, we assemble our group of six, see the movie after an agonizing bit of drama, walk around for another hour and leave. (it sounds short, but it was about 4~5 hour night)

    Saturday + Sunday

Wake up around 8-ish, putz around on the computer a bit, leave to church. Meet up with 3 of my friends, and we're off with the rest of the youth group, plus youth groups from 2 other churches to the "Night Of Joy 2001" which is a big christian rock-fest @ disney. The bus ride wasn't bad, but it wasn't great. I was just happy to be with my friends. The park was pretty fun (we didn't feel like watching any bands) we went on a lot of rides, the only bad thing was that it was raining. Oh well. my shoes're STILL wet, btw. So anyway we're all freezing to death, and we pile onto the bus at 1 AM (It's sunday now! )and sleep the rest of the ride back, mostly. Get back to the church, and sleep under the foosball table in the teen center with tanya on side and chase practically snuggling with me on the other side. Wake up periodically because I'm so damned cold, and at 6:45 we all go to the 7AM mass. Then we leave. Came home, took a long hot shower, and came on the computer right now.

I have no clue what just happened. I just got up off the couch, went and had breakfast while reading the paper, and realized it was 3 PM...I must've dozed off on the couch or something. I'm sooo tired.

No, I woke up at 8 AM yesterday morning. Then I've been at the night of joy since then and got no sleep. Well, technically I did get an hour or two under that foosball table...plus an hour on the busride home...

6:56 PM and I'm getting on my computer for the first time today (except for the 5 minutes I was on it when I went to pick it up).

Here's the rundown of my weekend...

Friday: Got home from work, messed around until 6 and went to my gf's house to go to our HS's football game. She eventually makes it home after weathering the storm around Grand Rapids. We get to the football game after it stops raining for awhile. Game is postponed for about an hour due to lightning. Friends and gf suggest leaving, but I paid my $4, dammit! So, we sit. Speculate with friends after how long it becomes sad to come back to your high school and watch the football games. Quickly decide it's immediately after WE stop coming back. Team loses, so night essentially a waste. Go back to gf's house and sleep.

Saturday/Sunday: Go to mall and buy a Linux book. Come home. Do nothing all day. Go to mall again and eat dinner. Get suckered into going to see Princess Diaries with gf. This is the greatest piece of American cinema since Rugrats go to Paris or Recess:School's out. Eventually end up at friend's house for LAN gaming. Finally begin at about 11. Take girlfriend home at 1:30. Kill possum on way back to friend's. Play Serious Sam co-op until 3:30. Go home and sleep until 11. Go back and get computer. Go to gf's house for lunch. Do nothing all day. Come home after gf goes back to school. Clean room. Read book. Lather. Rinse. Repeat.

I'm bumping this thread. Why? Because I enjoyed it and didn't think it deserved to die so abruptly. Getting ready to go home for the weekend and looking forward to learning Legend of the 5 Rings. Wondering what I should write next for rantapalooza...

Sitting at my PC all day playing with some programming problems. Spent all day on one....added more code on top of more code to try and solve a problem.....got closer and closer until a brainwave struck and I fixed it. Turned out that something was fundementally wrong on the first few lines and I hade been trying to cover it up without realising the real prob. My code is now much less than it was and it works.....I hate it when you get bogged down and "cant see the wood for the trees"

Got a copy of Macromedia Flash5.... cool looking prog.....but will its obvious capabilities mask my utter lack of artistic skill...watch this space.......

Week break is now over ......I am totally gutted, but I reasure myself that I will take it easy on my first few days back at work...

You can't go wrong, Fordy. There's hundreds of books and links
teaching all kinds of stuff about Flash 5. It's a fun, fun program
to learn, but it can be frustrating, too. I tried to make my avatar
with Flash 5, but couldn't get past the first frame. The darn
gif would never come out right. So I used Fireworks 4 instead.
It worked but it couldn't do what I could have made it do if
Flash 5 had worked the way I wanted it to.

Its 9:28 PM and I am thinking about PMing Rick. But first I need to read the rest of the GD threads, and respond. Jezz I started at 8:00. You have got to stop posting so much.

I am at work... should have left an hour ago... but had some software issues to figure out for a dial-up to a radio site on one of the taller mountains on Oahu. Now I am posting this silly crap instead of going home.... lmao about the jargon thread. It was really funny and should only get better. My head hurts a bit. My wife and I have a babysitter tonight. We are doing the dinner and a movie thing... not sure what movie yet, but I think Chile's for dinner. She has a little money back from taxes and wants to treat me. She is very nice....

    have a nice night all...
